✔ 1x Rear Watts Linkage Assembly – Greater Articulation and flex, while when the suspension moves up and down.
- When a raised suspension is fitted, the lower watts linkage arm operates at an abnormal angle. During suspension articulation, this can cause the arm to contact the axle bracket, restricting movement . This limits available travel at full droop and causes unnecessary strain on the suspension bushes. By cranking the lower arm, additional clearance is created between the arm and the axle bracket, also reducing bush stress and extending assembly service life.
- ASSEMBLY NOTES: Should Be Installed by a Professional Mechanic:
✔ Disclaimers – This product should be installed by a professional mechanic. Incorrect installation may result in premature wear or suspension damage.
✔ Replacing the Watts Kit – The watts linkage is mounted centrally on the rear axle with one arm on each side. Remove the original watts linkage arms and rear watts linkage assembly. Install the cranked watts linkage arms and the new rear watts linkage assembly in the same positions as the originals, ensuring the cranked section provides additional clearance from the axle bracket. Insert bolts finger tight only. Mounting bolts should only be fully tightened when the vehicle is resting on its wheels at ride height.
